Meko has been living in Australia for 5 years, with the last 2 years spent in Perth. They find living in Perth convenient, with a wide variety of restaurants available, though prices can be high due to good salaries. Perth's slower pace of life allows for a better work-life balance. The city offers many job opportunities, including internships related to community service, where Meko helps low-income households and children with problems. She also worked part-time at a mining laboratory while studying.
Meko appreciates Perth's friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and she initially came to Australia for a working holiday but decided to stay longer due to various visas and opportunities. Since Hong Kong passport holders could have a 5 years 485 visa once graduate from an eligiable qualification/course. Meko values the diverse activities and natural beauty Perth and Western Australia offer and hopes others can enjoy it before further urbanization.
